Grand National winning trainer Donald McCain Jnr has recently announced the launch of his very own Racing Club. Fans of the North West based trainer can now enjoy an exciting and cost effective way to experience racehorse ownership with one of the countries top trainers.
The club will be run by DevaRacing who already have a number of syndicate horses in training with Donald. A yearly membership will cost just £400 and members will receive regular stable visits, monthly updates and a share of prize money won by the horses. Racing club members also get the opportunity to experience attending a race meeting with access to the Owners’ Lounge and Parade Ring to watch the club’s horses in action.
For any racing fan a visit to McCain’s yard would be worth the membership fee alone. I’ve enjoyed numerous visits to Bankhouse and Donald and the team will make you feel very welcome. Spend a morning touring the stables and then watch the horses gallop in the beautiful Cheshire countryside. Afterwards a lunch in at nearby Bickerton Poacher is a great way to round off the day.
Nevertheless, members will also get Owners Badges to watch their horses run and gain access to the Parade Ring. Not forgetting they’ll bag a share in the winnings too. Considering Donald’s recent strike rate, members can be confident of popping the champagne in the winners enclosure.

Why Donald McCain?
Donald McCain is one of the most recognisable figures in British jump racing. The son of the legendary Ginger McCain, who trained Red Rum to three Grand National victories, Donald has carved out his own impressive career. Since taking over the yard in the mid-2000s, he’s trained hundreds of winners and continues to be a dominant force, particularly in the North West and on the northern circuit.
His horses are often well-placed, well-prepared, and give owners plenty to cheer about. Importantly, he has a reputation for being open, honest, and down-to-earth — traits that make him a brilliant choice for first-time owners.
